Era and generations to come.

What we fail to do stuff as a generation. As the 21st century hit what were we like?

Dear future president,

“Monsters are real, ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win.”- Stephen King.

Our society has drifted apart. We no longer hold hands crossing the street, use our manners, look both ways before crossing, hold open the door for an elder, nor do we say I love you anymore to our parents. What happened to the 21st century? As each era flew by we became more distant from each other and started Forgetting what really matters. As we become more distant we also forgot ourselves.

We no longer share secrets with our best friends, we never get close anymore and hide ourselves from the rest of the world. We don't have anymore courage we lost self esteem and hope in humanity. What else do we need to lose?

A human can only go so far before we crack, many work paycheck to paycheck just to keep food on the table, and depression and anxiety has built up more than it has in the past decade.

As we begin to fail we miss the opportunity to learn from it. We should be talking about love, hope, faith, and healing. Not drugs, money, and killing.

Don't let my generation's dreams and opportunity be taken away from us.

Motivation, kindness, belief in us plays a big part. The kindness of words, and a helping hand, not a slapping hand or broken trust isn't what we need. We need more support groups that touch the heart, not just plop a support group or there and say “all done!” What we really need to do is come together as a whole and just care for once.

The monster is within us we can never escape it only we can decide what monster we want to be.

Please consider looking into this.

                                                                                                                 Sincerely, Brianna Vatalaro
