Hurting the silent victims

I do not believe that scientist should hurt the silent victims going through torture and being tested on to make our everyday products.

Dear future president, Animals in the U.S. are dying rapidly each year because of animal testing and the cruelty that humans conduct to be tested on animals.

There are more than 115 million animals that suffer and die every year in the U.S. from chemical, drug and cosmetic testing. Millions of mice, rats, rabbits, cats, dogs and other animals are being tested on each day by scientists around the nation. A 2011 poll of nearly 1,000 biomedical scientists practiced by the Science Journal found more than 90% agree that the use of animals in research and testing is essential because it is cheaper, faster and more relevant for humans to test on. It is not okay to waste an animal's life from chemical testing and dying.

According to the Humane Society, experiments of a single pesticide requires more than 50 tests and the use of 12,000 animals. The population of animals is dramatically going down. Extinction could happen from this transaction. 92% of experimental tests with drugs that are safe in animals fail in human trials because they are not safe enough or they didn’t work because human error. This is the scientists fault because the animals didn’t chosen to get tested on, the chemist did.

The animals lives are endangered because of this process, and this decision. The estimated animal population is 500 trillion while, each year about 115 million of those animals die because of the cruelty human put into these poor animals lives. The animals shouldn’t have to suffer while the humans rise. Animals should be equal and not have to die from a poor choice that human make.

In conclusion, I believe that animals should not be tested on for various reasons. Scientists should find other things to test besides animals. They should not test on animals for this could lead to extinction.
