Racial Inequalities

Racial inequalities are not right and need to be stopped.

Dear Future President,

Though I am confident in how the future of America will turn out, I do have one doubt in our social society. Many people are injured, or even killed just because of their race. People are getting hurt because of the fights and arguments they get into. The government has done next to nothing to help America with this problem. Racial inequality has a major negative impact on America, reminding us that we should set strict guidelines when people are affected by racial inequality.

No one deserves to live in a world where people can't feel comfortable around each other. You, as president, need to set up a campaign to stop the inequality and the uncomfortable feeling the world has set in America. This campaign will have a website of some sort that will show the cruel stories that have happened to different people.A New York Times editor was approached and told,”Go back to your country”.“My grandpa’s car was vandalized just because of his race.” These types of stories will inspire people to share their stories and put an end to racial inequalities. We can show people that it doesn't matter what the color of your skin is; the only thing that matters is you. This campaign will completely knock out racism and racial inequality in America. It is possible and we can do it if we all try to work together.

Even in the small town that I live in, I still see signs of racial inequality. I once was playing soccer in a nearby town at the local soccer park and other team's side of parents was almost told to leave the game because of their hurtful remarks. The parents were making very offensive comments because of the fact that we have multiple races of girls on our team. They said things like, “Why would they ever do that” and ,”That’s disgusting.” I strongly disagree with these parents. ”Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice” This quote shows the thought that different races need to be shown justice and equality. ”My house was once got spray painted on when I was about six. There was nothing but rude and racist words.” These stories tell me that I'm not the only one that is experiencing these situations. It will only expand our relationship better if we interact with people of other races.

It is very important that we fix the problem of racial inequalities of people in America. It is very wrong to offend or hurt someone because their race. "30 states have laws against racial profiling”. Even though this is already a law in many states, it needs to be made illegal in the other states in order to contain a civilized community.”Three black and Hispanic men were shot by police officers in New Jersey just because of their race.” If racial profiling is made illegal in the other 20 states, this will make sure that people are fairly tried.

So, Future president, it is all up to what you decide to do. Racial inequality has been a big issue for a long time now, and it time for you to stop it.It is very important that you understand how many people have been affected by racial inequality. It is essential to make racial profiling illegal because of the offensive and unfair qualities that it shows. If this is not straightened out in time, America will slowly start to crumble apart. We have to find a balance to make everyone happy and comfortable. If this is straightened out, America will be strong and we will all be able to work together.

Sincerely,

Gabbi B.
