Please read Mr. President!!
Issues: Gas Prices, College Funding, Drilling Oil
I am writing to you to address two major issues our country is going through. I know you might think that I am just a kid that does not know anything. However, I want you to know that I am aware of some of our country’s issues. I would like to address the two major issues I am aware of.
The first major issue would have to be the gasoline prices. Many people feel that we should not be at war with someone who sells us oil. Maybe if we remained on good terms with the Middle East, gas would not be so expensive. In doing so, this would make our people a whole lot happier. As a teen getting ready to drive, I will not be able to afford gas if the price keeps going up. If I cannot afford to drive, I cannot work. Many other people would have to agree with me.
Other people say that taking our country out of the war to lower gas prices would not be the best solution. They feel that we should just start drilling oil from our country’s resources. Any safe and resourceful way to lower the gas prices would be great. The second issue that many parents dread is when their children have to go off to college. College is very costly and most people are way in debt when they are done with school. It would be really nice if middle class people could get funding for college. Many of the poor people who choose to go to college get funding from the government. The upper class families can actually afford college expenses.
Many more things need to be changed, but college funding and gas prices would have to be the two issues that come to my attention. If gas prices do not go down, but go up people will not be able to go to their jobs. Please do something about gas. Whether it is drilling oil from our own soil or making peace with the Middle East, do something. With college, please help out us middle class people. Just remember that our country is counting on you to help us out.
