Help! We are in a crisis!
I know that you, as the president of the United States, may possibly get many letters. Mine is truly honest and I hope that you will take your time to read my thoughts. My opinion on the war is that it has been going on for so long that it is not helping them or us. I think, and as do many other people, that we should bring our troops home. My other issue is the trash and the water being wasted. We should be going green and saving. The last of my issues is that the gas prices are very high.
During George Bush’s presidency, he allowed more and more of our troops to continuously die. The war is not helping them or us. In fact, this war is making Iraq and Afghanistan’s economy fall apart. Iraq, Afghanistan, and America are losing brothers, sisters, moms, dads, aunts, and uncles. The massacre needs to end! The United States should mind our own business and stop worrying about oil and start worrying about the alternatives of oil such as vegetable oil. Many people may disagree and say that the war must go on, they must have just never had a close family member go to war and die or they never went to war.
My other issue is that trash and water are being wasted each and every day. The trash could be recycled and the water can be taken to the countries that are very low on water and food. Adults and children in Africa have to walk miles every day for a drink and we are busy filling swimming pools. The trash that Americans throw away every day that could be recycled is ridiculous! The trash could be made into new things such as clothes for the unfortunate. Many people say that they do not have to worry about the world being destroyed because they will not be alive. They do not think about their children and they certainly do not realize that the world is affected already today. If we want our planet to last much longer, we need to be thinking green.
My last issue is the gas prices. Gas stations all over the United States are price gouging. They are raising their prices of their gas before they even have to buy more. We Americans are suffering. We can barely afford to get to work each day. When we get to work, we are working for money to spend on gas to get back to work. My points that I have made may be very common in most letters that you receive, but I am truly sincere. I really hope that when you begin your term as president, you change America for the better! I may just be fifteen, but I see what occurs everyday.
