When we're young, we depend on our parents for safety. But let's face it, as we get older we don't depend on them. We start depending on the people around us and we depend on ourselves. But what if the people around us start making bad choices? What if they are torturing innocent people for answers? What if they start committing suicide as a result of anger and disappointment? What if the next generation isn't well educated and their schools are poorly tended? Would you want us to turn to them for safety?

    Kids are our future whether we like it or not, they will one day run this nation and nations worldwide. Because of this, I think it's very important that this generation is properly and formally educated and they have progressive schools. I'd feel safer if schools were being supported and built in other countries and they are teaching educational things in the classroom . Properly built schools will open the minds of those children who are in the school. This will show that there's a right way for everything, no matter who you are and where you live. It will show there's a better solution for less fortunate people instead of fighting.  You should build and support new schools in places like Pakistan, Iran, Kenya, and others. You, the United States Government   should also continue supporting them as the years go by because they have less money than  "lucky" American schools. They need new books and new classrooms. Help me feel safe while children in those countries get a better education.

    My concern with safety does not stop there.The practice of torture needs to stop. Torture is occurring in many places like Guantanamo Bay. When our country tortures innocent people for answers, then don't get the right answers is when everything starts to get sour. From that point on, other countries start to hate us and then we become their "target." No matter what we do, they won't like what we do and the choices we make. They disagree with us and fight for what they think is right. What those countries think is right, our country might think is wrong. Growing up with this worry that we are being targeted isn't what I want and what I don't want for the future people of the world. I want other, less harmful ways to get military and other important answers. I want this countrty to interigate for information to still majorly effect countries but not inhumanely. I want the hate to stop. 

    My final concern is for the safety of my peers. The lack of teen suicide awareness programs have caused the teen suicide rate to triple since 1970. I want to live in a nation where I don't have to worry about not being there to support a friend and then they decide to end their life for answer they couldn't easily answer themselves. I want more awareness programs and i want more citizens not to the feel the pain of losing someone close caused by self inflicted death. I don't want and no one should ever feel that pain of losing someone because their friend had to fix a problem but didn't have a way, so they turned to death. I'd rather move to another country then live here and watch my friends kill themselves.

     I'm older now, and I am depending on this country for safety. The people around me are starting to take chances by making better, right choices. I'm starting not to worry about teens committing suicide because they know about it, Innocent people are staying unharmed and are being questioned differently. Children are being taught math and art in a nice, new classroom. I'm turning to you as well as the rest of your next generation for safety, NOW.
