Dear Senator Obama,

My name is William Johnson, and I'm in the process of graduating high school at BCIT Westhampton. I have some issues to discuss that involve today's America. Terrorism and homeland security is one of them. For the amount of people dying each year from murders, is unacceptable. People should not be afraid to leave their homes because of the fact that they live in a bad neighborhood. Health care is another issue I'd like to address. People shouldn't have to suffer from not being able to pay for pills, shots, or any other health benefits that people can't afford. Environmental issues is a major problem we are having in America today. Gaseous and toxic waste rising into the air is affecting the ozone layer. The ozone layer is breaking down slowly and is letting in harmful rays from the sun. People are getting skin diseases because of this and are in need of medical help.

People's homes should always be secured at all times of the day everyday. It shouldn't be determined on low class, middle class, or high class making families. Everyone should have security around there home. We all have lives to live and bills to pay but to leave ones home open to anyone is just unacceptable. People get murdered in their homes almost everyday because of economy issues. We should put a stop to this and up the security on every-ones homes and towns. Police shouldn't just drive around looking to stop people with a bad license plate. The police should drive around peoples neighborhoods and make sure there is no suspicious activities on the daily basis.

Health care is one of the top things in every ones life we should carry. Everyone gets sick and everyone will need medical help. Just because you live in the worst part of town or don't have the job with the highest paying rate doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to obtain the medicine you or your family needs. Medical attention and medicine should be provided to all families of all classes. Everyone has there ups and everyone has there downs but in no circumstance should someone not be able to obtain the medical help they need. The price for a medical vehicle to come to your home or where ever you are is over the limit. Accidents happen and citizens shouldn't have to pay 200 dollars+ to get medical help.

People all over the globe are being affected from the suns harmful rays. Since the ozone layer is being destroyed from the air planes we fly country to country and rockets we send into space, it has an affect on how much stronger the rays hit the earths surface. Seasons throughout the year are changing because of global warming. Towards the north and south pole, ice is slowly melting. Due to this affect, most of the world will soon be under water in a matter of years.I don't believe anyone would want there children to be growing up in an environment as such.
