Writing Our Future

Friend or Foe(:

Issues: Trust, Community, Society

As of now, the economy hasn't given any reason for optimism. With economic issues on the rise, gas prices have skyrocketed, reaching about three dollars a gallon against the one dollar prices during the 1999-2000 phase. Also, taxes play an important role as we are promised a tax cut for every individual or a tax increase for those who are wealthy and accumulate enough money over the course of the year. The real worry is how the perspective of people makes a difference in the economy and social community. I'd rather have a community where there is agreement and harmony in the actions of both the government and people.
Imagine society where relationships are built upon only a speck of trust between people, including the relationship between the president and the people of the United States. Wouldn't that cause economic unbalance when the link between society and government is broken by the lies of an individual? There of course needs to be some reliability and optimism in the country.
We need a president that will step up too the plate and take a stand against the harsh realities that may hit our nation and express new-found ideas that will "actually" lead through to the correct path. The people either pick the friend or foe in this case. The friend that "actually" takes in ideas of others, making productive goals and hopefully leading the nation to eternal bliss, or the foe, making "okay" decisions, but hiding the truth from all's eye. As soon as the steps of the new president are aboard the nation, then we will reach a new cycle of living.
