How are you going to restore our economic crisis?  We need to get this problem repaired because if it isn't, then not only our economy but other countries' economies will be unsuccessful as well.  Gas prices are rising as we speak, a second depression is possibly coming, necessities that we need to live are getting really expensive, and businesses of all  sizes are going bankrupt.  Therefore, if you don't take action, then there may be things that we can't afford and some people may have trouble living.  Do you want to be part of the reason we go into a second depression, can't afford gas or other necessities for living, or have so many bankruptcies?  If you know how to fix this, then you're already doing great.

     First, gas prices are really starting to hurt people and their families' finances.  Our gas is mostly imported from the Middle East, making it even more expensive than it already is.  Also, if we keep buying gas, it'll get harder to find and more expensive.  We think that America needs to drill for gas, in the US or Gulf, so that when we are old enough to pay for our own gas, it won't be completely over our heads. The choices are find a way to make gas prices lower or endorse energy efficient cars or alternative fuels. Good job in arguing your point, but also giving a way to solve the problem.

    Second, we are at the point where we might go into a second Depression. We will only go into one if you make the wrong choices about what to do with our economy.  If we are sent into a Depression then many people may lose their homes, and then a lot of people would be living on the streets.  If we end up in a Depression,  we won't be able to buy goods from other countries.  Which--Take this out that would only happen if our economy failed, and it may give those countries some economic problems, too. 

    Third, product prices have slowly been increasing in price.  A great amount of these items are necessities to live which is creating problems for some American families.  If people can't afford these products, they may be in serious trouble for typical American families. Also, prices of a wide range of common items have risen 5.6% from July 2007 to July 2008, which is the highest annual increase since January 1991. If this continues, our country may be heading for disaster.    Good use of a statistic...I would just recommend explaining what the necessities are, so that your reader isn't left guessing.

   Lastly, businesses have a lot of debt, but sometimes they are unable to pay it all.  Therefore, "Out of Business" and "Store Closing" signs are often seen now-a-days, because businesses (big and small) are going into bankruptcy.  This all has been happening due to having to buy a lot of materials and pay really high taxes.  When new businesses are created they have to start with the owner's money because the business doesn't have any yet and if they don't have enough when it is started, they go bankrupt.  Run-on  Businesses of all sizes have so much to pay per month, which ends up being thousands per year, and all that money goes to keeping the business open not towards supplies. 

    If you think that none of this matters, then you are wrong.  We need to and have to get out of this economic crisis.  If you make one bad decision you could lead our country into yet another Depression.  It will make you known in history more than you already are.  But, I doubt that is something you would not want to be known for, and you would probably be really ashamed.  So, right now you are going to be President at a difficult time. Make the right choices, not the wrong. This needed to be a rebuttal paragraph, but I don't see anything you address from the other side.  We need to look at this again.

    Mr. President, our country needs you now more than ever.  Gas prices are getting worse and worse each day.  It's possible that our country may go into a second Depression.  Rising necessity prices are affecting many people who can't afford it.  And many big and small businesses have gone bankrupt.  Please, our country needs you to take action and help this economic crisis. Need to offer a call to action--give him something to consider...maybe give him a solution that you think might work.
