Writing Our Future

Is Immigration A Problem?

Issues: Immigration

Obviously,  being the President of the United States is a big responsibility.  You will face many difficult obstacles during your term, and you will have to make some challenging decisions.  You need to stand strong and support every move that you make.  Also, you need the support of others.  You just can't depend on yourself, and that is why I am writing this letter to you, to show where I stand on the topic of immigration and how it affects our country. I stand on the side of less immigration, and I hope you will change our country for the best.
Immigration is not as important to people as many other topics, yet immigration is a big problem that is continuing to grow.  If we don't do something about it soon, everything will change.  Illegal immigrants come into this country every day, so the Hispanic population just continues to grow. Many Americans feel that Hispanics are taking all the jobs and making a mess of things. This might sound stereotypical, but the jobs I've seen Hispanics take are jobs that most Americans don't want to do anyway. Some of those jobs include janitors, garbage men, construction workers and many other things. So I don't really know why some Americans hate Hispanics for taking all the jobs.
I can't blame immigrants for wanting to come to America; it's a great country with plenty of opportunities. We have great school systems and lots of things to do. I think Americans have a lot of different things to complain about this situation that we are in.  Think about all of the Americans that are jobless because either they would get payed too little and that they would not get the best job for them. According to americanpatrol.com, illegal immigrants come over from Mexico and take jobs that do not pay well, but they don't care, as long as they get money. Unfortunately, these business owners take tremendous advantage of these illegal immigrants.  They train these aliens to a specific job, and then they fire the American workers in that position and give the job to an alien who will work for less money.  That way these business owners get hard working workers for less pay.  Then tons of Americans are out of work and cannot support their families.
A solution that I hope you look at is strengthening our borders.  Illegal immigrants come into our country every single day.  The number of jobs loss to illegal immigrants is steadily gowing bigger.  If we don't take care of our border issues then soon, our country will be run over by illegal immigrants.

I hope from this paper you have gained a new perspective on how to handle these problems.  Also, I hope that you have a good term as president.  Hopefully, you will make the right decisions to better this country.  I know you will do your best in office but always stand strong and support your decisions and listen to  the people in the country. You need those other perspectives to become a successful president.
