No Child Left Behind is not working for the simple fact that the charts show it.
As president, there are many things you need to do about the “No Child Left Behind” Act (NCLB). You need to decide whether you are going to continue to support it, or abolish it. You will also need to decide if the Act follows the 10 th Amendment. The “No Child Left Behind” Act mandates state tests, and keeps schools at standards. Some think that this does not give states enough power; violating the 10 th Amendment. You should promote the reforming of this law so that schools and teachers have more of a choice about what is being taught.
The No Child Left Behind Act was created to improve the quality of public schools because the neediest students were being left behind. The depressing fact is that children are still being left behind. You may ask why. In this paper, I discuss why I think students are being left behind.
There is a Chinese Proverb which states, “Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.” I believe that this quotation should be a basis for all educators across the United States. By getting students involved in hands-on activities within the classroom, they can develop a better understanding on the information they are being taught. Americans are blessed with the freedom to learn everything they need to achieve any dream they may have. I believe that no child should be left behind based on their learning ability in school.
Now, more than ever, America requires a revamped education system. The No Child Left Behind Act is leaving students and schools in the dust, so the new president needs to fix this problem. The bill of legislature enforces rigid guidlines and punishes schools that cannot perform up to their potential. Through alternative choices and more flexible benchmarks, the new president can turn this problem around.
We need to focus on solving the education crisis in this country so that future generations can lead happy productive lives. .
Education is the key to success. If the educational system isn't improved, our generation, the future leading generation, the generation that will soon take over the world, will go to work with no idea what to do because they had no way of accessing a decent education.
