As a student in a small town, nestled in the Midwest, life is relatively good. A good community, strong ethics and values, and a humbling sense that your education is top grade. In small Nebraska towns from the day most kids turn sixteen, they are now expected to get a job and work throughout the rest of high school if they expect to be able to attend a school after they graduate high school. Since they have to have a job, then they need a car in order to get to their job, because the state is closing down small town schools. Once the school in a town is closed, then the town begins to die.
