With our economy crashing and more and more people suffering due to poor income, it is time that we start focusing on the middle to lower class, rather than continuing to benefit only the richest 1% of our nation.

Why does universal health care have to have such a bad rap? Countries all over the world have it and there economies aren't all falling behind the Iron Curtain. Gay rights are important issues, and they are ones that I am sure you will take a lot of heat for, no matter what your final decision may be.

My views on very important issues. We need to figure out a solution to get the troops out of Iraq. Also same sex marriages need to be legalized.

I would like to inform you about all that is going on overseas, and how it is time it all to come to an end. The United States has been at war for it seems like ages, and it is time to finally end it and come home. We have spent way more time then needed over in Iraq, and if we do not come up with some results real soon, we should come on home.

Abstinence as the only form of sex education is a Utopian way of teaching sex education, but sad to say, we are living far from Utopia. As great as America is, there is also undoubtedly a vast number of negative things that go on as well - theft, rape, murders, and yes, teenagers who have raging hormones.Teaching teens about contraception as well as abstinence would undoubtedly change the alarming statistics of teenage pregnancy in America.

I know my generation doesn't get to vote in the upcoming election. But I still think its important for our voices to be heard, especially since we are going to the the ones dealing with all the decisions made today. I think the biggest issues we need to focus on are abortion, oil dependence, and gay rights.

I think that the main focus of the issues should be on the war in Iraq. I believe that it should be stopped immediately. We have made our point and it's not fair to the troops there, their families and friends, or the families in Iraq who are suffering, as well.

The addiction oil to is one of many reasons the United States, and the worlds economy are falling. The United States is a world leader and if the leaders are up to finding new and alternative energy sources the economy, world, and some conflicts can be avoided.

While most people vote for their rights and how it will effect them right away, they don't think about the affect it will have on us in the future. From immigration, the war in Iraq, to health care, and foreign trade,  If we could help changed the way the president and the world looks at these issues then we could help the future world.

Finding alternative fuels needs to be a point of focus in the near future. Instead of worrying about rising gas prices, we need to research more ways to end our oil dependency. We also need to focus on the environment and think of ways to become more “green” in an effort to save our planet.

The new leaders have many problems to deal with but they can be solved together, specifically there can be economic advantages to several approaches to dealing with the environment and health care. Health care costs can be cut with socialized medicine, and public works can be used to create jobs and help solve global warming.

The election this November is highly anticipated. Whomever is elected has their work cut out for them; with numerous topics that need addressing now! The nation's health care system has become a huge problem, and needs to be changed as soon as possible. Both candidates have given their views on the issue, and both seem serious about change.

Our country is in a pivotal time. The decisions made today will determine our nation's future, for better of worse. The fate of our future hinges on the national education program and whether or not it will rebound in the next five years, this action falls on the shoulders of the next president.

My generation needs to make a change and take a stand on the environment. We need to do all we can to help it and restore what has been lost in the past. We need to make an effort to be more green. Our president must take a stance on the issue and have to true courage to make a change.

Logging is a topic rarely considered when an election draws near. However, it is an issue that must be faced by government officials in Washington. Less than five percent of the one billion acres of original American forests remain, and it continues to disappear daily. Furthermore, America stands as one of the leading importers of illegal logged timber, sourced from developing countries. Action must be taken to halt the destructive nature of American logging. 

Illegal immigrants are becoming more and more of a problem here in America. It's time that everyone living in the United States is legal and contributes to the economy.

The United States is currently dependent on close to sixty percent of the Middle East's oil. As a country though we need to start thinking about becoming more independent on energy. We have enough resources in our own country for such things as bio-fuels, natural gas, solar, and other resources readily available to us now. These actions should be taken as soon as possible.

Health Care. Two words that put the thoughts of hospitals, doctors, nurses, emt's, trainers, dentists, etc. When I think of health care-I always think of going to the doctor's office when I'm sick, and the big bill my parents will receive because the insurance company doesn't "cover that kind of injury".

I beleive that the main issues that need to be dealt with are health care and foreign affairs.

People have the right to make their own choices for their own health, mental or physical, and for their own wants. The United States is based on freedom, that is why some people come here so we need to stop taking away people's rights.

Poverty is a saddening issue we face today in America. Somewhere around 39 million people are facing it and that number is only growing bigger each year. We, as Americans, have a duty to give our support and help our country and the people in it and the only way to shrink the 39 million people is to start now providing more free education and business programs.

Gay rights are often forgotten over the problems with the economy and health care but still remain very important and prevalent to much of society. During your term, I and millions of others Americans would like you to address and resolve the controversy over gay rights. Gay rights are often very blurry and unclear to most citizens.

America has not been the most popular country in the global scope. I believe it is an issue of great importance to improve our status among the other countries in the world. We need to let other people know that we can help them in times of need. America has been on a power trip lately, we need to knock it down a few pegs. Once people realize that we are willing to cooperate and work with other countries, people might actually like Americans more.

Our country is in need of change. From the war in Iraq to the alternative energy debate. We need a strong leader who can understand the issues and make choices that are beneficial to the greatest number of people.

The Military is a very important institution, but defense spending is currently excessive and wasteful.  If ineffective programs were eliminated, our national debt could be somewhat alleviated and funds could be diverted to domestic programs where they would directly benefit millions of Americans.

This letter explains how higher moral and education values will lead to a more prominent society. Higher moral values can lead to a country with a low poverty level and higher educational values can solve current issues that have confronted out country. Higher educational values should include an emphasis on math and science and an improvement on the No Child Left Behind program.

I think the new president should care about three big issues, war in Iraq, economy of the USA, and gas prices. Because these are one of the most influential issues to citizens of the USA.

Everything we do intertwines. This theory directly applies to our government. For example, we are now seeing the direct effects of our failing economy as it affects our education system. By addressing these issues and making known their importance, we can ensure an intelligent and prosperous future.

America as it stands today is a country facing a time of crisis. We have a huge national debt, a raging war we cannot win, and several citizens who cannot afford the basic essentials of life: food, shelter, and clothing. Also, we have a tremendous environmental disaster headed our way that could destroy the world as we know it, if the next administration does not put forth an effort to control global warming. Our next president should focus on the economy and the environment during his first term. They are the most dire crises our country has faced in decades, and the most important issues of our time. 

It is becoming ever clearer that America must fundamentally alter the course of our energy future. The time has come for our country to take action. If we value our security, our economic prosperity, and our pride then there is only one option. We must depart from our fossil fuel consumption and towards a revolutionary renewable energy system.

We have entered the energy technology revolution and our entire country needs to shift to renewable, clean, carbon free energy sources. We need to end our addiction to oil and start re-building and renewing our nation.

Living in Salt Lake Valley, we are burdened heavily by winter inversions that oftentimes confine the elderly and asthmatic to their homes. Driving up into the mountains gives one a view down into the smog where homes are masked by a thick, yellow-brown haze. It is no longer a question that we must look to other resources for energy, but it will be up to you to accommodate this transition.

The United States faces many critical issues in the upcoming election. One of the most important issues is that of the environment and green energy. Our time is running out before oil reserves are completely depleeted, and this problem needs to be solved.

Gay rights is an issue of state, but more, an issue of happiness.

The war in Iraq, our shaky economy, and the environment are three issues that need to be on the top of the president's "to deal with now" list. These are issues that can't be put off for a later time and my letter is not to criticize our country's government, but to give an opinion from a concerned American on what needs to be done.
